HAIR EXTENSIONS
The hair extensions use Indian Temple hair that has had the colour removed by gentle de-pigmentation (not bleaching), maintaining good condition. This hair is genetically very similar to Caucasian hair and better than European, Chinese and Brushed Indian alternatives as the cuticle layers all face in the same direction, so there is no tangling or matting, and it’s longer lasting.
Great Lengths
Whilst other techniques such as welding, waxing, gluing or knotting, strain and often damage the hair, Great Lengths hair extensions uses a more gentle principle called modulating – a high-tech method of bonding between the hair extensions Great Lengths strand and your hair. This point of attachment is composed of polymer chains with a molecular structure very similar to that of human hair, which can also be removed easily.
First of all we cleanse the hair with a clarifying shampoo to remove all build up from the hair. Then we trim the ends from the hair, and take away any harsh lines. This allows the natural hair to blend in to the extensions.
Now we bond the extensions to the hair. Using hot tweezers, we melt the keratin tip of the extensions to the natural hair. We protect the scalp with a plastic shield, so this does not hurt or damage your hair and scalp.
Once the application is complete we can style the hair. All heated appliances can be used. e.g tongs or straighteners. This is fine because the hair is 100% human hair. It can be shampooed and treated like any other hair.
